- Undergraduates Opportunities
the KAUFFMAN ENTREPRENEURSHIP COMMUNITY INTERNSHIP PROGRAM (KECIP)
- The Morgridge Center for Public Service is piloting a new paid internship program for 2008-09 in
communities within Dane County and Ashland, WI. By utilizing skills and knowledge gained in the
classroom students have the opportunity to create a new approach to solving social issues. Apply your
energy and experience to solving social problems and become a catalyst for social change in the nonprofit
sector. Accepted projects will receive a stipend of up to $5,000 for fall/spring semester and group
projects with up to 5 students in a group will be awarded $ 6,500 for academic year projects. Projects can
be of varying duration and internships may begin as early as summer 2008. See website for more details.

NCR-SARE Grad Student Proposals
- NCR-SARE usually issues a Call for Proposals in the fall, and Graduate Student Grant proposals are due in January. Usually, the Council announces the awards in the spring, and notifies recipients shortly thereafter. Funds are typically available in the fall. .

Center for Rural Affairs
- The Center for Rural Affairs has openings for two interns to work on their website. Timeline and committment are flexible. Comensation is included and academic credit can also be arranged.
Jefferson County Agriculture Development/Farmland Protection Summer Student Internship
- This twelve-week internship is open to students attending college who are interested in agriculture, education or marketing. The internship is open to students upon completion of their freshman year of college. The position will assist with day to day office activities including providing customer service, filing and typing. Position requires good verbal and written communication skills, knowledge of general office equipment. Proficiency with MS Office software, including Word and Excel is required. In addition, the intern will attend conferences and meetings, write reports, conduct educational seminars on farmland protection and participate in a farmers market research project.
